Electrical Installations and maintenance
Electrical installation work can range from a simple new light fixture to a complex rewire. Where a replacement light fixture is generally a quick and straightforward job a full rewire can be quite extensive, requiring floorboards to be lifted, walls to be chased and quite often furniture moved to accommodate the work.
If your home has any of the following it may be overdue an upgrade, large ceramic fuses in the consumer unit that are prone to blowing, discoloured switches and outlets or power fluctuations that may cause lights to flicker or dim. Maintaining your properties electrical system can help minimise the risk of a fire or personal injury.
Whether you require an additional outlet, a new outdoor lighting solution or a full wiring upgrade, Foxley Electrical will discuss your needs during a home visit and provide a free no obligation quote tailored to you.

Testing and Inspection
The best way to determine if the electrics in your property are up to scratch is to have a qualified electrician perform an EICR (electrical installation condition report).
EICR’s should be carried out every 10 years for a domestic property, 5 Years on a rented property or upon change of tenants, and more often for businesses.
During your EICR we will complete visual checks as well as electrical tests.
The visual aspect will be checking your sockets and lights for damage or deterioration, checking the overall condition of your fuse box and finally checking the wiring and earthing at the property. On completing the EICR we will provide a full written test report detailing our findings and this can be provided to your insurer and/or tenants. We will provide details of any findings along with photos where possible and a free estimate for their rectification.
